Vipers SC will today on 19th April take on UPDF at Bombo Military Barracks Grounds in Startimes Uganda Premier League.
Vipers comes into the game with two successive wins of Blacks Power 2-0 and Calvary 4-1 in Uganda Cup.
Head coach at Vipers Alex Isabirye reveals how the win against UPDF could put Vipers closer to where the team have to be.
” We’ve got another opportunity to go away and try and built on our recent performances and try and and get an away win”,” If we do, We’ll creep closer to where we want to be” Isabirye said before the game.
” It’s going to be a tough game, but we’re in a good place, we want to go there and be really tough to beat” Isabirye added.
Isabirye further updated on the players back from injuries not leaving the young players who have been at a good form.
” We’re getting players back from injury, the likes of Marvin Joseph Youngman, Miguel Nzau, Siraje Sentamu and Abdul Karim Watambala”.
” A couple of young players; Enock Luyima and Rogers Torach are adapting really well and starting to put in performances that are keeping them in the squad”.
UPDF have been with a descent form winning 3 and drawing 1 in last 4 games.
Vipers are to miss players like Marvin Joseph Youngman, Siraje Sentamu, Bright Anukani, Abdul Karim Watambala who are not fit for the game and Alfred Mudekereza and Murushid Juuko who are still nursing injuries.
Miguel Nzau who suffured from a knee injury in the Blacks Power’s game is back and will be available for the Venoms.
Vipers are 3rd on the log with 32 points from 17 games, on the other side UPDF are 12 th on the log with 22 points from 21 games.
