Startimes Uganda Premier League: Oyirowoth nets late equaliser as UPDF deny KCCA FC maximum points

KCCA FC played out to a 1-1 draw against UPDF FC in their first league game under floodlights as they continued to struggle registering their third successive draw in the league.

Douglas Oyirowoth scored late in the 92th to deny KCCA maximum points at MTN Omondi stadium.

In their first game played under Floodlights, Second half Substitute Tshisungu Kankonde scored first for KCCA in the 57th minute thanks to Mohammed Shaban well delivered cross.

KCCA appeared a better side though didn’t utilise their chances to double the lead.

They were later Purnished in the 90+ minutes with Douglas Oyirowoth volling into the back of the net.

Morley Byekwaso head coach at KCCA continues to struggle as KCCA have failed to win any in their last three games. 

They have picked up 3 points out of the 9 possible, this lowers their chances of winning Uganda Premier League.

The third consecutive draw leaves KCCA five points behind table leaders SC Villa though have 2 games in hand.

UPDF FC remained 12th with 22 points.

KCCA will have to visit URA at Lugazi in their next Startimes Uganda Premier League.

Action resumes today on 10th April as Busoga United will be welcoming Onduparaka in the relegation battle.
