BUL FC 1-2 Express FC – FUFA technical centre, Njeru
10 man Express FC claimed a 2-1 victory against BUL FC away from home in the Startimes Uganda Premier league match played at FUFA technical centre in Njeru.
Boban Zirintusa gave Express FC an early lead with just 10 minutes into the game and Striker Anwar Ntege scored the second goal in the first stanza before being sent off in the second half after an elbow on BUL FC player.
A deflected shot from Richard Ayiko was directed into the net by goalkeeper Abdul Kimera to hand BUL FC a consolation goal.
Express FC played hard to defend their 2-0 lead after going down to a man down as BUL FC dominated the game with a couple of goal scoring chances but they failed to capitalise on that as they only managed a consolation.
Express FC have now won back to back league games in 2023 which has seen them move to the 10th position on the log with 25 points.
BUL FC have continued struggling as they are yet to win a league in the second round with their last win coming at home against Maroons in December.
Express FC will return to action as they take on Busoga United at Wankulukuku, BUL FC also host Busoga United in their next league game.
