Preview: SC Villa Seek To Stay Afloat

SC Villa’s title chances have slimmed in recent past after back to back losses against Arua Hill and KCCA.

There was clear day light as KCCA won 4-1 as the Jogoos were utterly the second best.

And another daunting task comes in form rivals and title favorites Vipers SC at Wankulukuku.

Going into the game, leaders SC Villa sit four points above third placed Vipers who have played three games fewer.

And the Jogoos have to win the clash to keep their title aspirations alive.

Whatever the result, on the other hand, SC Villa have had a brilliant spell and have gotten everyone by surprise as they won six league games in a row.

But will be seeking to force a result so that they can hang around the top for a meantime and wait to see what Vipers will pick in their games.

Vipers have turned the corner since the arrival of coach Alex Isabirye, and a double is what they are chasing this season.

They were pitted against Bright Stars in the Uganda Cup semis while Adjumani and Police await at the other hand.

This second round, Vipers have won three and drawn as many in six attempts, and any result other than a loss will be welcomed as things stand.

Vipers won the reverse fixture at Kitende last year with Yunus Sentamu and Karim Watambala scoring in a 2-0 win.
