SC Villa Want To Continue Fighting

SC Villa have found themselves on top of the Uganda Premier League in recent days.

And as they face Arua Hill at Wankulukuku, the Jogoos will be fancying themselves to pick all points.

They are five points above KCCA who have played two games less and 11 above third-placed Vipers who have played four games fewer on them.

It’s still not in their control, probably based on the fact that the two chasers will leapfrog Villa if they win their games in hands.

But that’s not a given, and it’s not what Villa should worry about at the moment.

Their focus should be on winning their games, handling it one by one and see what happens elsewhere.

For starters, KCCA are crumbling after that Morley Byekwaso resignation and it’s that which might give Villa some hope.

They showed their intentions with that win over Wakiso Giants, coming from a goal down to win 3-1.

And if they can carry that attitude and momentum in games, few teams will stand in Villa’s way.

“Arua Hill is a tricky opponent, and its not going to be an easy game,” Villa coach Jackson Magera remarked.

“But we shall fight to see we get good results.”

Villa have won six games in a row in the league, in contrast with the Visiting Arua Hill who have just one win in five games.

Arua Hill, coached by Livingston Mbabazi, have lost their last three games on the road and they have to double their efforts to pick a result at Wankulukuku.

The Jogoos won the reverse fixture 1-0 at Barifa, with Charles Bbaale scoring the all important goal
