Salim Jamal’s Documentary Set For Premiere

A documentary about Uganda Cranes goalkeeper Salim Jamal Magoola titled ‘Salim Jamal: Believing in God’ will premiere on Monday, April 3.

Director of the documentary Allan Darren Kyeyune has confirmed the dates to The-SportsNation when contacted.

The film will be uploaded on Kye Films Youtube channel.

It focuses on the resuscitation of Jamal who has returned to the scenes with tremendous performances.

The shot-stopper who has never shied away from his strong opinions, had last featured for Cranes back in 2019 before he returned for the Tanzania double header.

And he duly kept a cleansheet in the second leg in Dar Es Salaam to help Uganda Cranes ressurect their AFCON Qualification chances.

Jamal has been in fine form with PSL side Richards Bay where he has registered 9 cleansheets out of the 13 opening games!

He joined Richards Bay at the start of the ongoing campaign after spending a season at Pretoria Callies, in the second division of South Africa League system.

He featured in 18 games at Callies and helped the Club retain their second division status.

He had joined Pretoria Callies in September 2021, signing from Sudanese side Al Hilal Omdurman where he won a league title and featured in CAF Champions League.

The shot-stopper earlier featured for Express and KCCA in the Uganda Premier League.

The documentary will feature exclusive and never-seen footage and interviews ranging from personal, Club and Uganda Cranes talk.
