There will be no room for error as NEC FC visit Jinja North United in a FUFA Big League game to be held at Kyabazinga stadium on Thursday.
NEC, who are in their maiden season of the Big League, are now having sights on promotional places with four games to go.
They picked a comfortable 2-0 win over Booma FC in the recent game last week on Thursday at home to keep their hopes alive.
That win, their third in a row and their 15th so far this season saw them move to 50 points in the second position and are just a point below leaders Kitara.
The visit to Jinja is another opportunity for the Bugolobi to keep grinding results till the end.
The task at hand for NEC is to keep their winning mentality, starting with the visit to Jinja North United on thursday.
In Jinja North, they face a hungry side that has lost their last two games and they will be eager to bounce back to winning ways.
But with just four games to go, NEC will build on that factor to stage a better performance on thursday as they also keep ears on their strong competitors Kitara, Mbarara City, who will also be playing away from home on the same day.
On the other hand, the hosts, Jinja North United will be seeking to end their winless streak when they welcome the Bugolobi based club.
The Jinja based have lost two consecutive league games with each coming against Kyetume (1-0) before losing 3-1 to Lugazi FC in their latest game last week.
And on thursday, they will have all eyes on stopping that poor run as they target a better finish in the season.
They will rely on their home advantage, plus some key experienced players like midfielder David Bagoole if they are to stop a flying NEC FC side.
