Asaf Mwebaze the head coach at Bright stars is well boosted by his last two wins of Bright stars and hopes can be a factor for first league double over Express.
Both teams Bright stars and Express are to take horns today in Uganda Premier League at Kavumba Recreation Grounds.
The first leg of the fixture ended 2-0 in favour of Bright stars thanks to Nelson Ssenkatuka’s brace.
Bright stars are in a fine form having won their last two games of KCCA in Stanbic Uganda Cup and Oduparaka in Arua.
Mwebaze reveals how it can boost them.
” The last two wins against Oduparaka and KCCA have given us a certain belief that we want to use to win against Express for a home win that hasn’t come in the league for a long time”.
Mwebaze further reveals on how he is confident about his side finishing a double.
” We beat them in the first round at their home, they haven’t won here in a long time,and we want to keep it that”.
“Hopefully, we can play out best game, our ‘A’ game and do the things we normally do right, and if we do that, we will be good for the three points”.
Despite their good form in the last two games, Bright stars have lost their last two home games that is against URA 0-2 and Gaddafi 0-1 in Uganda Premier League.
Express FC are in a good shape having won their last three games that is against Oduparaka, Busoga United and BUL FC.
Express last won a game at Kavumba Recreation Ground in 2017 a period of 6 years now.
In their last 18 meetings, Express have been a better side with 5 wins, Bright stars 4 and rest have ended in draw.
Soltilo Bright stars are in the 10th place with 27 points from 21 games, a win could see them displace Gaddafi in the 8th place.
On the other side, Express are in the 9th place with 28 points from 21 game, a win could see them displace Wakiso Giants in the 7th place.
In other Premier League games, Arua hills will be hosting Vipers at Barifa Stadium.
