KCCA announce Jackson Mayanja as Interim manager, KB and Malinga ditched out

Having accepted the resignation of coach Morley Byekwaso, KCCA FC have officially announced the appointment of Jackson Mayanja head coach on interim basis for the reminder of the season.

An official document from the club board confirmed the appointment of Mayanja also saw assistant coach Kaddu Badru and the junior team head coach Richard Malinga relieved off their duties.

“KCCA FC has appointend Jackson Mayanja as the interim Head Coach until  end of June 2023” reads part of the statement from club website.

This comes after KCCA FC lost their away game by a 2-0 deficit under Kaddu Badru who was in charge of the team after Morley’s exit.

Jackson Mayanja comes in to replace Morley Byekwaso who resigned on Sunday immediately after the club was eliminated from the Stanbic Uganda Cup by Bright stars.

Jackson Mayanja gets appointed as KCCA coach for the second time having been there for the first time in 2005.

Mayanja will be tasked to help the team pick momentum and get back on track in the title race in Uganda Premier League.

KCCA have failed to win any of their last 5 games, they have lost 2 and drawn 3 times.

Jackson Mayanja is expected to bring in experience having coached clubs like URA FC, Simba SC, Kyetume FC, Kagera FC , assistant coach at Uganda Cranes, assistant coach at AS Kigali and recently Uganda Hippos.

Jackson Mayanja will start his work with a huge task of welcoming table leaders SC Villa on Sunday 23rd April.

KCCA has also sacked Richard Malinga who has been in charge of Junior team will be replaced him by Saka Mpiima.
