Preview: KCCA Seek Back-to-back Wins

KCCA will be seeking for back to back wins when they take a visit to Gaddafi on Saturday.

The Kasasiro Boys picked a deserved 4-1 win over SC Villa last weekend, in a game they looked brilliant throughout the day.

That game, Jackson Mayanja’s first game in charge saw his side end their four game winless run and bring back the smiles to most KCCA faithful.

And Mayanja’s next assignment comes with an away trip to Gaddafi and he revealed that each game is now like a final if they want to be champions.

“We are prepared as a team. The players have listened to us and are now catching up. Players should know the demands of a manager and adapt to it, he told the club’s media on Friday before adding.

“Each game now is a final if we want to be champions, we must win each game now. My major target is to that we win this trophy to give back to all people attached to the club”

On Saturday, Mayanja will be without one of KCCA FC key players, Rogers Mato due to injury, who has been arguably one of their best players this season.

But they will rely more on other exciting players like Usama Arafat, who returns after missing the Villa game.

The task at hand for Mayanja is to bring back that consistency in the KCCA team, starting with Saturday’s fixture as they seek to keep pressure on leaders SC Villa, who are just two points ahead of them.

On the other side, the hosts will be seeking to return to winning ways when they welcome KCCA at Kakindu.

The Wasswa Bbosa coached side have not tasted any victory in their last two league games, drawing goalless against Busoga United and suffered a 2-1 loss to Arua Hill in their latest game.

The Jinja based side last picked up a win against Bright Stars (1-0) away from home at the start of this month.

And the home game against KCCA FC will be seen as an opportunity to get back to winning ways.

Ahead of the game, Bbosa said

“After losing to Arua hill, we want to bounce back and also move to a better position. We had some suspensions of defenders who didn’t play the Arua hill game and that costed us, he told the club’s media.

In KCCA, they face a side that is rejuvenated with a new coach and also have sights on the big prize.

But Gaddafi, with an experienced coach in Bbosa, together with some key players like Joel Mutakubwa will be seeking to hurt the Lugogo based club as they target to move upwards on the table standings.

Stats
Gaddafi are currently 10th with 29 points after 22 games.

They have picked only one win in their last five league games (W1, L1, D3).

For KCCA, they are second on the log with 41 points in 21 games.

They have also picked one win in their last five league games (W1, D3, L1).
