FUFA Fines Kyetume for Hooliganism

FUFA has fined and punished Big League side Kyetume for their hooliganism acts in their recent game.

On 20th April this year, Kyetume fans invaded the pitch during this game against Kitara as they lost 2-1 at the Nakisunga Ssaza grounds.

The fans entered the pitch in added time after Kitara had got a winning goal through Edson Agondeze.

And following a review from the competitions department, they found Kyetume guilty and thus being penalised for their violent acts.

And thus, Kyetume has lost the match mentioned by forfeiture.

Furthermore, they have been fined 2 million shillings to be paid not later than 2nd may 2023.

Their two players Oplot Solomon and goalkeeper Patrick Mubiru have been suspended for four matches.

And the club has been given a suspended deduction of two points and two goals should they repeat the same incident.

The decision is a big blow to Kyetume, who have struggled throughout the ongoing FUFA Big League season.

They are currently 10th on the log with 33 points and are not far away from the drop zone.

And at the start of the season, they were punished by the Federation for failing to meet licensing requirements for the UPL and thus dropped to the Big League.

They will be hoping to bounce back as they seek to save their season in the upcoming games .
