FUFA Big League: Kitara FC and Mbarara drop points as NEC and Police continues to shine

Title race continued in FUFA Big League on 6th April with table leaders Kitara FC losing 2 points against Ndejje university at Arena of Visions and Mbarara losing to Kyetume FC 2-0 at Nakisunga Saza Grounds.

NEC defeated Kaaro karungi 3-1 at Bugolobi Coffee Grounds while Police returned to winning ways with a 5-2 win against Luweero United FC at Kavumba Recreation.

For Kitara goals, Moses Sseruyide and Edison Agondeze appeared on the score sheet while Norman Ndyamuhaki and Brian Obedi scored for the University side.

Kitara had a chance to stretch the lead of points to 5 after second team Mbarara had lost 2-0 to Kyetume though Ndejje university could only allow them a draw at Arena of visions, Ndejje university.

In the big win of the day, Lugazi FC defeated Northern Gateway (7-1) at Lugazi Stadium.

Following the results, Kitara remained on top of the log with 47 points, Mbarara second with 44 points and NEC third with 44 points.

Police pushed to 43 points in the 4th place while Calvary to 36 points in the 5th place

For relegating teams, Luweero United FC sits in the 13th place with 28 points, Soroti City comes in the 14th place with 26 points.

Adjuman TC FC comes 15th with 22 points while Northern Gateway last with 18 points.

Kataka FC 4-2 Adjumani TC FC – Mbale Stadium.

Calvary FC 2-1 Soroti City FC – Midigo Play Grounds.

Police FC 5-2 Luweero United FC – Kavumba Recreation Grounds.
