Preview: Express Eye Wakiso Revenge

Express will all go out for revenge as Wakiso Giants visit Wankulukuku on Friday evening.

The Red Eagles suffered a 3-2 defeat to the Purple Sharks in a game held at Wakisha last year in November.

That day, despite their striker Anwar Ntege scoring a brace, Express failed to avoid defeat away from home.

Then, striker Frank Ssebuufu and midfielder Owen Baba Kasule scored for Wakiso Giants, but the pair have all since departed for greener pastures in USA.

On Friday, Express head coach James odoch revealed that they want to stop the Giants and they are ready for them.

“The game will be tight because they’re a good team technically but we will ensure to stop them, they beat us in the reverse fixture but we learnt from our mistakes and we hope to collect maximum points tomorrow, he told the club’s media on Thursday.

The Red Eagles picked a vital point against Bright Stars in their 1- all draw this week on Tuesday, with Allan Kayiwa the saviour on the day.

The task at hand for Express is to finish the season in style as they seek for a better position.

And given the fact that they are already out of the Uganda Cup, their full focus is now to pick needed results as they seek to climax the season in a better way.

They will call upon their star man, Allan Kayiwa, who is now in double figures (10) to be at his best if they are to pick needed results at home.

Meanwhile, the visitors, Wakiso Giants will be seeking to complete a league double against the Red Eagles on Friday.

The Purple Sharks picked a hard fought 3-2 win over Express in the reverse fixture held at Wakisha grounds last year.

And they come in to this game, having picked a comfortable 3-0 over Onduparaka recently, a game that ended their winless streak.

Before that victory , they had not tasted any victory, including three back to back losses on the bounce.

The visit to Wankulukuku will be seen as another opportunity to pick back to back wins as they also target a better finish in the season.
