SC Villa moved to within a point below table leaders KCCA FC after edging BUL FC 1-0 at Akibua Memorial Stadium on 21st March 2023.
SC Villa, on the other side were saying goodbye to Akibua Memorial Stadium after finishing their 5 home games away from Kampala, Buganda and Eastern regions as it was suggested by FUFA.
David Owori scored the only goal for SC Villa in the 38th minute and BUL couldn’t respond in the remaining time.
BUL came back into second half strong and more of attacking though SC Villa defended for maximum points.
SC Villa remains undefeated in the second round with 3 wins and 1 draw. They are second on table with 34 points, 1 point below the table leaders KCCA who are top with 35 points despite playing fewer games.
BUL FC haven’t won any game in the second round, They remained in the 3rd with 29 points.
In the other UPL game played, Maroons defeated Arua Hill 2-0 at Luzira prisons playgrounds as they maintained their perfect run in second round.
Abel Eturude scored first for Maroons FC in the 7th minute before Darius Ojok doubled the lead in the 72nd minute.
Maroons currently sit 6th on the log with 25 points from 18 games while Arua Hill dropped to the 9th place with 23 points from 16 games.
