Stanbic Uganda Cup: KCCA FC target last eight as they face resilient Mbarara City

Uganda Cup joint leaders KCCA FC (10) are to book a place in the quarterfinals with all eyes set on securing a double once again, the Kasasiro boys will have to see off resilient Big league side Mbarara City.

KCCA FC currently sit top of the Uganda Premier league table but a win at home against Mbarara City will see them on the right path to chase their dream of securing a double.

KCCA FC head coach Morley Byekwaso does not take the Mbarara City test lightly as he is aware of how resilient the Ankole lions can be, but playing at home will be a huge advantage to the Kasasiro boys.

“We are facing a stubborn side, a team that has disturbed us during previous seasons. They know how to answer our questions, very resilient and we cannot underestimate them because this competition is very hard,” said Morley Byekwaso

“We have prepared well, had buildup matches, rested well and I believe we’re in a good position to face our opponents.”

To make this stage, KCCA comfortably beat Kataka FC 3-0, while Mbarara edged Admin FC 1-0 at Kakyeka Stadium in the Round of 32 of this season’s Stanbic Bank Uganda Cup.
