Stanbic Uganda Cup: Calvary shoots out Kitara as Adjumani TC FC eliminate Bunyaruguru

Big league sides Calvary FC and Adjumani TC FC booked their slots in the quarterfinals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup after eliminating Kitara and Bunyaruguru respectively.

Calvary knocked Big league table leaders Kitara FC in penalties 8-7 after playing out to a 1-1 draw in normal time.

Kedi scored first for Calvary in the 80th minute before Kitara equalised with few minutes to the final whistle.

Calvary missed their first penalty but this couldn’t stop them from winning 8-7 after their confidence raising in the rest of penalties.

In other game, Adjumani TC FC knocked out Bunyaruguru united in penalties 4-3 after their goalless draw (0-0) in normal time at Paridi Stadium.

The final quarter finalist will be between Big league sides Police and Ndejje university.

Kitara will now shift to Uganda Premier League promotion, they are top of the table with 43 points from 21 games.

Calvary and Adjumani TC FC joined BUL FC, Express FC, Vipers SC, Bright stars and KCCA FC who had already reached quarter finals.
