Micho names a 23man squad ahead of Kitara regional tour

Uganda Cranes head coach Multin Micho Sredjovic has named his 23 man squad to face off with Kitara region on 17th Friday March in Bundibugyo as Cranes hold regional tours in preparation for the upcoming AFCON qualifiers.

Among the 23 man squad summoned, excludes Vipers player’s who will have a CAF Champions League game against Horoya AC on Saturday.

6 Uganda Hippos players might have impressed Micho during their previous AFCON tournament in Egypt as they are included in the list including Travis Mutyaba, Apollo Kagogwe, Rogers Mugisha, Paul Dembe and Ssematimba Titus and Rogers Torach.

Uganda Cranes had last played a Kitara regional tour game in July 20th 2019 and that time Uganda Cranes lost to Kitara region 1-0.

The game was played at Booma ground in Hoima which will not be the case on Friday.

The 23 man squad summoned will first meet on Wednesday 15th at  Cranes Paradise Hotel, Kisasi  before conducting any training session.

The following day on Thursday 16th, the team will travel to Bundibugyo for more preparations of the game.

After the regional tour, some selected players will travel to join up with the foreign players in Egypt where Uganda will host their AFCON qualifier game against East African neighbors Tanzania.
