As the country celebrated the 8th of March as the Women’s Day across the country, it was busy day for hockey as they held a successful Pearl of Africa women cup at Lugogo Hockey grounds.
Kyadondo SS emerged winners of the first ever pearl of Africa women’s hockey cup Schools edition as they came out top of the round robin format.
The schools edition was graced by three schools taking part with St. Julian High School taking on their first ever participation in the Hockey games.
Kyadondo SS played out to a 0-0 draw against St. Charles SS Bukerere in their first game before securing a 3-0 win against new entrants St. Juliana High School to be crowned Champions with a better goal difference.
St. Charles SS Bukerere also claimed a 1-0 win against St. Juliana High school but they only managed to secure a second place finish.
