FUFA Big League: Mbarara City defeat Ndejje to consolidate top spot as NEC FC drop Points

In the FUFA Big league the battle for who qualifies to the top tier division is not for the weak hearted ones as it continues with intensity with just seven games remaining. 

Mbarara City defeated Ndejje University 1-0 in aarch played at Kakyeeka stadium in Mbarara to move back to the top spot of the log with 44points before second placed Kitara takes on fourth placed Police FC.

Striker Henry Kitegenyi scored the only goal of the day as Mbarara City claimed victory against the University side in what could be a defining moment as they edge close to securing one of the top three slots in their quest to return to top flight football.

NEC FC continued to struggle away from home as they once again dropped points in a 1-1 draw against Adjumani TC FC at Paridi Stadium.

Kiberu Tonny gave the visitors of NEC FC an early lead in the game as he scored in the sixth minute off an assist by skipper Kavuma Marvin as they looked to stripling than the hosts Adjumani TC FC.

The Bugolobi based failed to add another goa as they wasted a couple of chances which affected them so much and hence conceding an equaliser in the late minutes of second half as they failed to clear a corner kick.

NEC FC now sit in the third position on the table with 41 points but the battle for the top three slots continues with second placed Kitara FC as they take on Police FC.
