Big League: Kitara FC eager to bounce back against Police FC

Second placed Kitara FC host Police FC who currently sit fourth in the FUFA Big league as the battle for qualification to the top tier division continues.

Sam Ssimbwa coached side Kitara FC are eager to return back to winning ways as they target to regain top spot on the log and they will fancy no more chances of dropping points playing at home.

Kitara lost their previous game by a 2-1 score away against Calvary FC in Yumbe but head coach Sam Ssimbwa has urged his side to collect maximum points in their quest to gain promotion to the Uganda Premier league.

“We lost the battle in Midigo but we still have eight matches from which we can collect the needed results. The race is still going on until the final day, therefore we need not to panic but concentrate and play every game like it’s the last.” said Sam Ssimbwa

Kitara FC face Police FC who have one of the best defence in the Big league despite their scoring rate being on low note, both side s played out to a 1-1 draw in the first leg match at Kavumba recreation playgrounds.

Police FC players in training ahead of Kitara tie

Police FC are also in contention to fight for the top three qualification slots and a positive result against Kitara will be of huge difference to the Angelo Lonyesi coached side.

The cops come into the Kitara game with a huge boost of securing a 1-1 draw against table leaders Mbarara City in their last league game played at home.

For team News, Kitara FC will be without goalkeeper Micheal Kagiri and Dudu Ramathan who are out nursing injuries whereas the welcome back Jamil Kiyimba and George Ssenkaaba to the squad.
