The Motorsport Africa Club (MOSAC) have officially launched the first event on the FMU calendar the MOSAC Autocross Gomba rally which will happen from the 24th Friday to Sunday 26th at Gomba Bukandula race way.
This has been announced at Uganda Olympic Committee (UOC) offices in Lugogo under the theme ‘Safety for All’ as measure of ensuring safety from day one till the last day of the race.
The Autocross rally covers mainly the cardet class and it will be a 15km race way with massive action of cars taking a double of the 7.5Km at Bukandula race track as announced by the race Clerk of course.
“All rally challenges and corners have been included in this year’s track way as we look forward to have an improved event from the one we had last year.”
“It’s a smooth track which need to be handled with alot of carefulness among the drivers as it will be one to prepare the Cardets for an advanced race way competed in by the seniors.”
The MOSAC Autocross Gomba rally is graced to witness the first new challenge brought on board by the MOSAC team and dubbed the Hill climbing Championship which will run about 3km of only taking an up hill challenge.
“All cars are allowed as long as they reach the minimum safety standards, they will be accepted to take part in the Hill climbing Championship.”
Seven entries have already been confirmed in the MOSAC Autocross Gomba rally with the drivers urged to take part in the rally as entries will close on Saturday morning by the events manager Buule Elvis Paul.
“This being first event on the FMU calendar, we want to ensure you that it is going to be a safe event in Gomba and I want urge all the drivers who are yet to register to come and register as it will have alot of competence and preparing them for the NRC calendar.”
This is the second rally to be organized by MOSAC at Bukandula Gomba race way and the manager at Bukandula race way Kavuma Kabenge has pleaded to take maximum responsibility in ensuring a successful event in Gomba.
“This is the second event in Gomba and we are happy that the advance teams are already at the race way in Bukandula to ensure that everything put in place as we push to partner MOSAC in their second rally at Gomba and make it successful under the theme ‘Safety for All’.”
“Surface maintenance and the roads are being worked on and Thursday this week we shall be ready for the MOSAC Autocross Gomba rally.” Said Kavuma Kabenge.
The tickets for the MOSAC Autocross Gomba rally will go for about 10k per day across the two days which will fully packed with Motorsport action covering the Buggy, 4WD and the hill climbing Championship.
