West Nile clinch the third edition of the FUFA Drum

West Nile were crowned Champions of the third edition of the FUFA Drum tournament despite losing the second leg 2-1 against Lango. They managed to claim a slim 3-2 victory on an aggregated score after working their way to win the first leg by a 2-0 score at home.

Lango province claimed a 2-1 victory over West Nile province in the second round at Aki Bua Stadium in Lira but couldn’t defend their crown as they failed to overturn a 2-0 first leg loss

Dickens Okwir put Lango province in a driving seat in the 11th minute before Joachim Ojera doubled their lead in the 33rd minute

Arua Hill defender Rashid Toha proved to be a difference as he scored in the 48th minute to pull a goal back which gifted West Nile victory on an aggregated score of 3-2 as the game ended 2-1 in favour of Lango

This was the third edition of FUFA drum as it was the second Final of West Nile after being won by Buganda province in the first edition in 2018, Mean while Lango won the second edition in 2020

Arua hills defender Rashid Toha was named the Man of the Match for his outstanding performances as he scored the only important goal for West Nile.

Dennis Omedi has been Chosen as the most Valuable player for Lango province as KCCA FC striker Allan Okello takes on the Golden boot with 4 goals

West Nile skipper Nafian Alionzi has been Chosen as the best Goalkeeper of the tournament after a brilliant performance that saw him keeping 5 clean sheets out of 6

West Nile brilliant performance in the first round of 2 goals margin at Green light stadium in Arua helped them to win the trophy
