St Mary’s stadium Kitende to host Night games

Nambole Stadium was the first and only stadium that used to have night matches not until COVID 19 arose and it had to be used as a rehabilitation centre

In this case St Mary’s Kitende which was officially opened on 25th September 2018 could become the second stadium in Uganda to have night matches

This was revealed by Club president Lawrence Mulindwa while introducing the new coach Roberto Luiz Bianchi Beto Pelliser on Tuesday

“At the Moment, We are installing flood lights at the stadium and very soon we shall be able to host matches at night,” said Mulindwa

Mandela Nambole Stadium which is the official National stadium is in renovation and it’s expected to be finished soon

But in it’s absence St Mary’s Kitende has been used as the National stadium and Other Ugandan clubs has been using it on Continental level

Closer sources reveal that Flood lights will be finished next Month before the kick off of the second round though the club President Lawrence Mulindwa never revealed the actual time

Therefore Vipers SC are expected to host Continental games at night
