Maroons settle for experienced Muhumuza as new CEO

Uganda Premier league side Maroons FC have officially announced Rodrick Muhumuza as their new club CEO replacing departed Pius Bamwenge.

Muhumuza has vast experience in sports management as he has served the game of sports through the Uganda Rowing Federation as the technical director.

He has contributed to the development of Rowing in the country in his seven years with the federation.

Rodrick Muhumuza has vowed to help the club achieve its targets in the second round of the league as he expresses his pleasure to work with the Luzira based club.

“I am determined to return that honour in any way possible that I can within my reach.”

“I understand that a huge task awaits me here. The club is growing so fast and our main task is to make Maroons one of the biggest brands of football in Uganda and beyond. I am gracefully embracing this challenge and I absolutely look forward to positive results,” said Muhumuza speaking to the club media.

He holds a Diploma in Management of Olympics Sports Organisations by the International Olympics Committee, International Coaches Managerial Entrenchment Program from the University of Delaware – USA, Sports Administrators Course by Uganda Olympics Committee among other capacity building courses both in Sports and Managerial related fields.

He is tasked to fill the void left by Pius Bamwenge and also help Maroons stay in the to flight league.

Maroons FC managed to end the first round of the league in the 10th position with 15 points gathered from the 14 games played.
