Madagascar, Niger write history to reach first ever CHAN Semifinals

Madagascar and Niger shocked Rivals Mozambique and Ghana respectively to book their ticket to CHAN Semifinals in Algeria.

Madagascar won Mozambique 3-1 Meanwhile Niger won Ghana 2-0.

S. Razafindranaivo gifted Madagascar an early lead when he netted in the 18th minute before J. Y Razafindrakoto and M. Ravelomanantsoa scored the two in the second half in the 67th and 87th Minute respectively.

Mozambique tried to cool down the 3-0 lead of Madagascar when I Carvalho pulled one back in the 94th minute though nothing could be changed.

Before being brilliant while defeating Mozambique, Madagascar was as impressive in the group stages defeating all his rivals in group C including Ghana and Sudan. She finished 1st with 9 points and goal difference of 7.

Niger had a strong start when lmarana Seyni scored in the 11th minute before B. Hainikoye doubled their lead just 4 minutes into the second half (49minutes).

Ghana who were the favourites couldn’t come back because of the early shock in the half time though kwane otu had scored one that was ruled offside.

Niger is having it’s historical run having defeated the two giants including Cameroon in group E and Ghana.

Niger will take on Hosts Algeria in Oran on 31st Tuesday Meanwhile Madagascar will take on Senegal on the same date.

The finals will be defined on the Semi finals and will be played on 4th feb 2023.
