Big league: NEC eager to bounce back as first round climaxes

The FUFA Big league first round will climax with a couple of fixtures as the Bugolobi based side NEC FC seek to bounce back to winning ways as they host Kataka FC at Coffee playgrounds.

NEC come into this tie with all their efforts set on ending the first round in a high with a positive result, they lost their previous away game by a 2-1 score against Kyetume FC.

Having started the Big league on a suprise performance which has seen them occupy the third place on the log, NEC FC now are targeting promotion to the top flight league and have managed to boost their squad on the front line with the addition of veteran Uganda cranes forward Geoffrey Sserunkuma.

They will have to bank on their fans as they play at home which has been a huge boost in their performances throughout the first round of the season.

They hist Kataka who come into this game onto of a positive performance as they claimed a 2-1 win at home against Lugazi United.

NEC FC sit in the third place on the log with 27 points and a win could see them move joint top wit leaders Kitara FC.

Kataka FC occupy the 6th place on the log with 20 points from the 14 games.
