She Cranes drop to 7th in the latest world rankings

Following the SPAR Diamond challenge and the Nations cup Singapore which were the last two fixtures in the international Netball Calendar 2022, The Netball she Cranes have dropped from the 6th position to the 7th position in the World Netball Rankings

The two events has brought a new record of World Netball of many matches being played in the ranking year since the annual update on 1st march .The matches were 233

There is no change in the position of top 5 teams in the latest updates of World Netball Rankings with Australia remaining 1st, New Zealand 2nd, England 3rd, Jamaica 4th and South Africa 5th after they finished unbeaten in the SPAR Diamond challenge

The Nations cup Singapore was held at the OCBC Arena from December 4th to 10th . It featured six teams from Five Countries including 2011 champions fiji, Two time champions Singapore, Ireland ,Malaysia, Botswana and Singapore A team .

Botswana were Crowned as winners after defeating Fuji 65-37 .This helped them to climb 7 places in the rankings to the 24th position from 31st position Meanwhile fiji dropped from 15th to 17th position after suffering two defeats to Botswana. Singapore rises from 30th to 27th after finishing 3rd in the Singapore Nations cup While Ireland and Malaysia drops in the 31st and 30th position after finishing in the 4th and 5th positions respectively in the Nations cup Singapore

Scotland and Zimbabwe retained their respective 10th and 13th position following their 41-41 draw at the challenge despite both losing to South Africa .Malawi displaces She Cranes in the 6th position

She Cranes has recently been doing well as they already qualified for the 2023 Netball World cup which would be held in Cape town South Africa from 28th July to 6th August . 8 years ago in 2014 August Uganda were ranked 15th in the lNF world rankings the team has qualified for three world cups since the 2015 edition defeating Zambia ,Zimbabwe, Swaziland and Botswana
