Vipers head coach Roberto Oliviera and Bright Stars striker Nelson Ssenkatuuka were crowned the best coach and player for the month of November respectively at an awarding ceremony held at Kati Kati restaurant in Lugogo on Monday evening.
The 61year old Brazilian international Oliviera walked home with the pilsner Uganda premier league coach of the Month Award for November after he saw off competition from KCCA FC coach Morley Byekwaso and Wakiso Giants John Luyinda Ayala.
Vipers SC played 7games in which Robert Oliviera managed to win 6 games and 1 draw, they started of with a 3-0 win against Maroons, 1-1 draw against Wakiso giants ,a 0-1 win against Blacks power ,a 1-0 win against Arua hills , a 4-0 win against UPDF ,a 0-1 win against URA and a 2-0 win against SC Villa which saw them finish the month unbeaten.
Currently Vipers is in the 2nd position with 23 points from 11 games played as it has managed to register 7 wins 2draws and 2 losses.
Nelson Ssenkatuuka won the pilsner player of the Month Award for November after his brilliant performances which saw him end the month with five goals scored and one assist with three man of the match Awards.
Ssenkatuuka helped Bright stars to win all their 4 league games they played in November. They defeated Onduparaka ,Busoga, Bull and Express with the scores of 2-1, 1-0, 2-0, 2-0 respectively.
Before that brilliant performance they had won none from their opening 7 league games in which they lost twice to Villa 1-0 Gadaffi modern 3-0 ,while they drew 0-0 with vipers and Maroons ,1-1 with Black power and UPDF and a 2-2 against URA
Ssenkatuuka hopes to win the golden boot as he is the joint leading top scorer in the league with 6 goals alongside Vipers Yunus Ssentamu, Maroons Fred Amaku and Alex Kitata of Gaddafi.
Currently Bright stars is in the 8th position after playing 11 games registering 4 wins ,5 draws and 2 losses raising only 17points
