Okello stars as KCCA FC defeat Onduparaka

Allan Okello lived to his worth as KCCA FC claimed a massive 2-0 away victory against Onduparaka in an early kickoff match played at Bombo military playgrounds.

The leather midfielder Okello was involved in both the goals scored in the first half of the game, he opened up the scoring from the penalty before setting up Muhammad Shaban for the second gaol of the day.

Onduparaka have seen a hard time playing their home games in Bombo as they have now failed to win a game from the five they have played during their suspension.

They came into the game with a poor run of performance with just a draw from their last five games and they really showed it on the pitch as they were the second best team letting KCCA FC dominate play.

KCCA FC dominated play with the first chance on goal falling into Shaban’s path but he couldn’t direct his header on target as he sent it wide after meeting a cross from Brian Majwega.

Onduparaka seemed to be quiet in the game but poor communication in the KCCA FC defence could have cost them as Emmanuel Oketch pounced on a lose ball to set himself with a keeper to beat effort but goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan made a vital save to deny him in the 26th minute.

In the 30th minute, defender Geoffrey Wasswa sent in a long ball to find Rodgers Mato who beat his marker to shoot on gaol but Mathias Muwanga denied him with a strong hand.

Mato gained full control of the rebound forcing defender Denis Ojara to commit a foul on him as he tried to clear leaving the referee with no option but to award a penalty for a foul.

Allan Okello stood up and took the penalty sending Muwanga the wrong way as he opened up the scores to put KCCA FC in a deserved lead.

KCCA FC being the better side on the day capitalized on a counter attack as Ssenoga Kagawa released Mato who set up Moses Waiswa but his effort on goal lacked power and technique as he went for a loop over Muwanga who recovered to collect better denying him the second.

With a minute to half time, Allan Okello caught the Onduparaka defence sleeping as he released Muhammad Shaban who beat defender Benard Ndifuna to put the ball to the far post of Muwanga doubling the Kasasiro boys lead before halftime.

Onduparaka came back stronger in the second stanza as they created a couple of chances  but their strikers lacked the sharpness Infront of goal.

Amos Muwonge missed from close range as he dived in to head wide a cross from Rashid Okocha before the latter being denied once again by goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan.

A 2-0 win against Onduparaka has now seen KCCA FC extend their winning run to three games in a row closing on the gap at the top of the table to lead with 22points before Wakiso Giants game.
