Morocco win 3-0 after penalties

Venue: Education City Stadium

Morocco secured a place in the FIFA World Cup quarter-finals for the first time after winning a dramatic penalty shootout 3-0 against Spain, who were sensationally dumped out in the last 16 once again.

The Altas Lions will have to thank the braverly and heroics of goalkeeper Yacine Bono who managed to keep out penalties from Carlos Soler and Spanish captain Busquets while Sarabia managed to find the post.

Abdellahmid Sabiri, Hakim Ziyech and the Madrid born Achraf Hakimi guide Morocco to their first world cup quarterfinals as they eliminated Spain in the penalties.

Morocco were on the recieving end for the 120 minutes played but they managed to organise their defence as they let Luis Enrique boys dominate the game with a 77 percentage but only managing just a single shot on target.

Morocco is the only African side to progress to the quarterfinals of the 2022 Qatar World Cup where they will face Portugal
