Croatia defeated Morocco 2-1 in the third place playoff match at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar to walk away with Bronze medal.
The game played at Khalifa international Stadium saw Jason Gvardiol score a diving header in the 7th minute meanwhile Morocco found the back of the net through Achraf Dhali before Mislav Orsic scored in the 42nd minute to gift Croatia victory.
Both teams had plenty of chances though It was more on Morocco’s side with their striker Yousef En- Nesyri having a bad day in office failing to convert one of his four chances he had
Morocco’s players couldn’t play till the end because of the fatigue having played 7 matches in only one month like El yamiq and Achraf Dhali though it was the same to Croatian striker Kramaric
It has been the second time for Jasko Gvardiol scoring for his country having played 15 games .For Mislav Orsic he has played 16 games scoring only 2 goals for Croatia Meanwhile Achraf Dhari has only scored 1 goal from 3 games played for Morocco
Morocco becomes the first African team to finish in top four in the FIFA world cup and for Croatia it’s their second time to take on the third place since 1998 in the World cup which was hosted in france
