Uganda Matyrs’University score late to earn Semii-final berth

Nkozi based Uganda Matyrs’ University scored a late stunner to earn a semii-final berth in the 2022 Pepsi University Football League.

The game played on Tuesday Afternoon at Nkozi Playgrounds was a second leg affair in this editions’ quarter-final fixtures.

In an evenly possesed game,the hosts scored first through Sunny Kaija in the thirty sixth minute and capitalising on the lead,the home fans kept hot throughout to break time.

Bugema answered task and managed to score an equaliser from Ssebale Swalifidin with only 15 minutes to play and possibly force the Fixture to another session.

In the last Fifteen tense minutes to call-up,the hosts who had the home advantage secured a free kick and Joseph Kayondo delivered beauty to send the crowd to memorable celebrations.

The 2-1 win aggregates a 3-2 scorelines for the hosts who secured a one all draw in the reverse Fixture.

With that win,Uganda Matyrs’ University progress to the second consecutive semi-final in 10 year Pepsi University Football League.
