St.Lawrence University Outplay Petition Winners.

In the First leg of the second Semi-final in the 2022 University Football League,St.Lawrence University outplayed Petition Winners MUBS, in a 2-1 sweet home win.

In a 3pm fixture played in Kavule,Mpigi Masaka Road ,the hosts came from a goal down to score twice and be the day’s best against two time Champions MUBS who forged a way here by winning a petition against rivals Kyambogo University for the latter using an ineligible player.

After Interval,Nazar Benjamin gave visitors the lead in the 57th Minute but hot talisman Bruno Bunyaga  levelled matters just within ten minutes.

Michael Kayongo gave St.Lawrence University a deserved lead in the seventy third minute to seal maximum efforts they carried to opponents from game on .

There is still all to play in this tie given that MUBS will welcome St. Lawrence in the second leg in Nakawa on Tuesday, November 1st.

Action in the Pepsi University Football League continues on Thursday, October 27th with former champions Uganda Martyrs University hosting defending champions Uganda Christian University in Nkozi for the second leg of the first semi-final with the latter having a 1-0 Goal advantage.
