MASAZA CUP: Buddu, Ssingo favourites after sealing Semifinal slots

The 2022 Masaza Cup quarterfinals climaxed on Sunday 2nd October with defending champions Buddu, Ssingo, Bulemeezi and Busiro all progressing to the Semifinals.

The defending champions of Buddu managed to hold off Mawokota in a 0-0 score as they progressed to the semis with a 1-0 aggregated score.

Ssingo played out to a 0-0 score against Kyaggwe at Mityana Saza ground which saw them defend their 1-0 first leg advantage to seal a spot in the last four teams.

Bulemeezi progressed to Semifinals with a 2-1 aggregated score after being held by the hosts of Buwekula in a 1-1 draw.

Bulemeezi took an early lead as Fazil Tumwine put the visitors a head in the 38th minute. Michael Abura scored for Buwekula in the 55minite to level the scores.

Busiro were the biggest winners in the day with a 3-0 win against Gomba with goals from Isaac Ofoyirwoth, Jimmy Kalema and Joel Sserunjoji.

Busiro progressed with a 5-1 aggregated score to book a spot in the semi-finals.

The semi finals will see Buddu take on Ssingo whereas Bulemeezi will be up against Busiro.

Buwekula 1-1 (1-2) Bulemeezi

Busiro 3-0(5-1) Gomba
