CAF Champions League: Vipers confirm squad to finish the job in DR Congo

Vipers have confirmed an 18 man squad which is tasked to write history if at all the eliminate DR Congo giants TP Mazembe in the return bleg on Saturday 15th October

Vipers played out to a goalless draw in the first leg with TP Mazembe at the St Mary’s stadium in Kitende as goalkeeper Alfred Mudekereza played a vital role in the draw.

The 18 man squad has seen Frank Zagga being dropped after suffering from Malaria alongside Najib Yiga who is preparing for his UCE examinations.

Bright Anukani has made his way back to the traveling contingent after recovering from a groin injury which saw him miss the first leg.

The return leg comes too early for Ibrahim Orit who is on road to recovery after suffering a dislocated shoulder.

The traveling contingent has departed Uganda today in the wee hours of 3am to Nairobi where they will link up to Lubumbashi in DR Congo.

Here is the traveling squad

Goalkeepers: Fabien Mutombora, Alfred Mudekereza.

Defenders: Murushid Juuko, Livingstone Mulondo, Dissan Galiwango, Hilary Mukundane, Isa Mubiru, Ashraf Mandela, Bashir Asiku.

Midfielders: Abdu Lumala, Bright Anukani, Marvin Joseph Youngman, Siraje Sentamu, Olivier Osomba.

Forwards: Cromwel Rwothomio, Yunus Sentamu, Milton Karisa, Abubakar Lawal.
