Makerere University WFC Vs She Corporates – Makerere grounds

The FUFA women super League 2022/23 season will kick off on Saturday 17th as defending champions She Corporates will start their tittle defence against new comers Makerere University women football club.

Makerere are returning to the league after being crowned champions of the women elite league and have vowed to put up a spirited fight as they target to finish in the top five teams.

Their head coach for the University girls Fred Ndawula is so confident in his girls to haunt the defending champions as they target a first home victory.

“We are ready and we’ll prepared, everything is put in place for our first league match against defending champions.” Said coach Fred Ndawula 

“It’s going to be an entertaining game as we all they are just coming from an international tournament but that doesn’t make them fat better than us as we are all prepared well.” He added.

“Our main target this season is to finish in the top five and probably winning the 2022/2023 trophy if at all everything goes well.” 

For She Corporates who are fresh from taking part in the CECAFA zonal Champions league qualifiers look much prepared despite having a few missing players with injuries.

The pacy winger Susan Atim is ruled out for the rest of the season as she will undergo a knee surgery, Ronah Nantege and Grace Nassongo are on their road to recovery.

The sharks head coach Hassan Issa has set all his targets on retaining the trophy and their journey starts with a visit to Makerere.

“We picked alot of positives in the just concluded CAF Women Champions league zonal qualifiers and with that it will help us in retaining the league trophy.” Said Hasan Issa

On the game against Makerere women football club, coach Hasan has expressed the teams readiness to take on new comers.

“The team is ready and we’ll prepared ahead of the league opener against Makerere University WFC, I call upon everyone to come and support us as we embark on our journey of defending the league.” 

Makerere University WFC were relegated to the eilte league in the 2021 season where they played in a tournament format and felt undeserving as they only played just three games and were relegated.

They will have a better try this season after making enough of preparations in their aim of becoming a main stay in the women super League.
