University Football League: Uganda Martyrs target strong start against Bugema

The University Football league 2022 edition returns with the second quarter final match as Bugema University will take on Uganda Marty’s University in the first leg tie.

Bugema will host Uganda Martyrs University today Tuesday 20th September at the university playgrounds at 3:00 pm.

The Nkozi based Uganda Martyrs University target a bright start on away and head coach Erick Kisuze is aware of the dangers Bugema can cause to them but remains confident in his squad to finish the job early.

“Bugema is one of the most stubborn teams in the league this season. Their coach Medhi Nyanzi, is a very good coach and he has always staged a very strong and tough team.” said Erick Kisuze

Bugema University looks to be in a good with better preparations as they have been in camp as a team eversince making it out of the group stages.

“We are aware that they have been in camp together as a team ever since the group stages ended and that shows you how prepared they are. But we have also had enough time to prepare and we are looking forward to having a strong start since we are playing away from home in the first leg.” added Kisuze.

“We have almost four injuries but we as well trust the other players that are available that they will do a good job,” he added.

UMU topped group E with 12 points to book a slot in the quarterfinals and they are eager to replicate the 2017 memories as they won their first UFL tittle after defeating MUBS.

Any positive results in the first leg willl play a huge part when both side meet in the second leg on the 29th September at Uganda Martyrs University.
