Uganda too strong for Mauritius, secures Semifinal slot

Uganda national beach soccer team the Sand Cranes defeated Mauritius 9-2 in their second game at the ongoing Hollywood beats COSAFA Beach Soccer tournament to seal a place in the semi-finals.

Ambrose Kigozi bagged a hat trick to claim the man of the match award for the second time in a row.

A brace from Ashraf Apuuli and a goal each from Ismail Kawawulo, Brian Nkuubi Joshua Lubwama and Baker Lukooya sealed the scoring on the day.

In the other game in group B, Egypt rallied from behind to defeat Tanzania 4-3 also cementing a semi-final slot.

The Angelo Schrinzi coached side will face Egypt in their last group game a much relaxed game as both side are through to the Semifinals.

Uganda managed to defeat their East African neighbors Tanzania in the first game 4-2 as Egypt defeated Mauritius 6-3 in game one.

The sand cranes are using the COSAFA Beach Soccer tournament as preparations ahead of the Beach Soccer Africa cup of Nations.
