BUL FC to take part in Tana Cup Mini tournament

Uganda Premier league side BUL FC have geared up their preparations for the upcoming 2022/2023 league season with participation in the Amhara Bank Tana Cup tournament in Ethiopia.

The Uganda cup holders saw their journey in the CAF confederation cup end in the first preliminary round as they were ejected by Future FC from Egypt on a 1-0 aggregated score.

The Alex Isabirye coached side has now turned focus to preparations for the upcoming league season after honouring an invite to take part in the Amhara Bank Tana Cup tournament.

BUL FC are pitted in group B with local sides of Welkite Kenema and Kolfie Tesla and will start their campaign in the tournament against Welkite Kenema on Tuesday 20th September.

A team of 20 players and eight officials will connect from Egypt and cross to Ethiopia on Monday evening.

The inaugural Amhara Bank Tana Cup tournament is organised in Bahir Dar city after Amhara Bank inked a deal with Bahir Dar city alongside Goefere sports suppliers.

This has seen guest teams from Uganda of BUL FC and Gaddafi Modern take part of the tournament through Goefere sports suppliers who is the official kit supplier for both teams.

Gaddafi Modern from Uganda registered a great performance in their first game in the mini tournament as they defeated BahirDar ketema.
