Uganda Cricket Cranes Head Coach Laurence Mahatlane has applauded the Teams’ performance after winning their first Group A game against Botswana at the inaugural edition of the Africa Cricket Cup in Benoni SouthAfrica.
Uganda who won the toss and elected to bowl first,chased a 103/8 score to win the game by Seven wickets.
Mahatlane who opted for two debutants in Alphesi Ramjani and Pascal Murungi in the stating order is hopeful for even more as he states
“i am very excited with the good start,it wasn’t an easy contest but firstly our batting was good plus the impressive discipline of the boys”.
Debutants Alpesh Ramjani will be happier than any after picking 4 wickets in 17 balls to catalyse Evergreen Simon Sessazi efforts of running for 37 runs in addition to Raizat Ali Shah’s 36.
Cricket Cranes will go again on Sunday as they play Mozambique in their Game two of Group A.
