Abdu Lumala hurt by people who trash-talk struggling professional footballers

Vipers left back Abdu Lumala is clearly hurt with keyboard warriors whose sole aim is to trash talk footballers especially when they fail to live up to the billing.

Taking to his Twitter page, Lumala said that he wishes everyone was a footballer in Uganda.

The footballer is troubled with the way Ugandans criticize and blame players from abroad returning to play in the local league.

These are labeled failures and according to Lumala it’s not right because they don’t know the entire story on why the players come back home.

His comments follow the return of Allan Okello to KCCA for a season long loan.

Okello who was tipped for big things after he joined Algerian side AC Paradou didn’t live up to the expectations.

The youngster was expected to join a European team in the foreseeable future but this did not materialize.

After struggling for playing time at Paradou, he decided to return to his parent club, KCCA and reestablish himself.

Lumala himself was subject to such criticism. After an electrifying performance for Uganda in the 2019 AFCON in Egypt, he was tipped for big things.

He however failed to impress and spent about 2 years without a club and also nursing injuries .
