We are not interested in Manzoki- Yanga clarifies

Tanzanian giants Young Africans (Yanga) has come out to clarify on how they have no intentions of signing Vipers forward Cesar Manzoki.

Speculation has been mounting over the Congolese striker’s future in Kitende. He has been more linked to another Tanzanian side, Simba FC.

However, Yanga also came into the mix but the club’s CEO Haji Arafat has said that this is not true because they respect Vipers where Manzoki still has a contract.

“At Yanga we have a policy of not talking to contracted players.”

“We wouldn’t be talking about this player (Cesar Manzoki) because we respect the player and the club (Vipers) the player is playing for.”

“We would want this issue to be guided by our guidelines of respect that clubs and players who are contracted or who have existing contracts with their club.”

Its further believed that Manzoki wants a move away from Kitende and has been pushing for one to Simba.

Further, Manzoki’s contract is said to be set to expire in October 2022. Sources in Kitende however say that the striker signed a contract extension with the reigning UPL champions in April 2022.

Meanwhile Manzoki is currently training with the Vipers squad ahead of their preliminary game against CAR’s Olympic Real de Bangui between September 9th – 11th in the CAF Champions League.
