The Uganda Premier League holders Vipers SC have officially announced the return of defender Murshid Juuko.
Juuko joins the club as a free agent after the expiry of his contract at Express FC putting pen to paper on a two years deal at the Kitende based side.
He was excited on returning to Vipers after a spell of 9 years away as he looks forward to helping ty club achieve more glory.
“I have a fantastic history with this amazing club where I started my career here when l was young. I’m so happy to be back home after 9 years so I’m really glad and looking forward to giving my best for this club once again.”
“I think it’s the best decision that I have made, moving from Express FC to Vipers SC it’s a new chapter, I’m so happy and glad, and I want to carry on again, to make history, to try to help the Venoms achieve great results, to make a mark again.” Said Juuko on his first club interview.
He returns to the club where he first played in the top flight League with as it was still known as Bunamwaya in the 2009/2010 season.
Juuko went on to feature for several clubs in the league with the likes of defunct Victoria University, Express FC and on continental level with Tanzanian side Simba SC and Wydad Casablanca from Morocco.
The former Uganda cranes defender becomes the eight signing for the Venoms as he is set to replace want away captain Halid Lwaliwa. The other signings are Alfred Macumu Mudekereza, Olivier Osomba, Abubakar Lawal, Isa Mubiru, Marvin Joseph Youngman, Ashraf Mandela and Abdu Lumala.
