Transfers: Express FC announce signing of Gakumba.

Uganda Premier League side Express FC have announced the signing of youngster Benjamin Gakumba on a three years deal.

Gakumba joins the red eagles from Mbarara University team after featuring in the University football league and put up great performance which caught the eyes of head coach James Odoch.

The 19 years old defender has expressed joy after putting pen to paper at the ‘Mukwano gwa bangi’ side which will see him stay at the club till 2025.

“It’s a great honour to be joining this mighty club, I am grateful to God for this opportunity and I thank the coach and team for giving me this opportunity. I am ready to represent the club colours, fans should expect good performance and solid game.” Said Gakumba during his unveiling.

For the head coach James Odoch has hinted out on his signings at the club as a building process which will see the club return back to where it belongs and signing Gakumba is one route to his building process.

“He is a young player, who is very talented and focused. As I said, focus is on building young players who will play for the club for a long time and Gakumba’s signing is evident to that.” Said James Odoch.

He becomes the fourth signing at the Wankulukuku based side with the likes of Hassan Mubiru, David Lukwago and Kada Bitakazibwa already signed at the club.
