She Corporates learn their opponent in the CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers semis

Uganda’s representative in the ongoing CAF Women’s Champions League She Corporates have stormed the semi finals of the tournament.

This is after they thumped Djiboutian side Garde Republican 8-0 to finish in the second behind spot Tanzanian side Simba FC.

She Corporates’ goals were scored by Favour Nambatya who netted a hat-trick, Phiona Nabumba also scored a hat-trick while the other goals were scored by Joanita Ainembabazi and Jackline Nakasi.

She Corporates collected 6 points to finish behind Simba who had 9 after winning all their three games.

This saw Simba and She Corporates qualify from their group. She Corporates only defeat was a 2-0 loss to Simba.

She Corporates will now face Ethiopia’s Commercial Bank of Ethiopia who topped Group A. The game will be played on Wednesday.

The champiom of this tournament will represent the CECAFA region in the CAF Women’s Champions League final tournament.

Meanwhile the winner of this tournament takes home a whooping USD 30,000, the second takes USD 20,000 and the third takes USD 10,000.

The tournament is supported with 100,000 USD from the president of Tanzania H.E Samia Suluhu.Sulphur.
