Phionah Nabumba scored a double as She Corporates defeated Yei Joint Stars FC from South Sudan by a 6-0 score in the CAF women champions league regional qualifiers at Benjamin Mkapa national stadium in Tanzania.
Anita Namata, Margret Namirimu, Favor Nambatya and Joanita Ainembabazi all registered a goal each on top of a double from Nabumba.
She Corporates started on a high note as they took an early advantage in the opening game of the CECAFA region qualifiers with a win.
Midfielder Phionah Nabumba steered the Sharks in an early comfortable lead as she bagged her first goal in the 27th minute of the game.
With just six minutes from the opener, new season signing and pacy winger Anita Namata doubled their lead as she put her name on the score sheet in the 33rd minute.
Margaret Namirimu the experienced defender on the team and just fresh from the WAFCON tournament ensured that halftime ends in a comfortable lead for the sharks with a 45th minute goal to make it 3-0.
The second stanza was just icing on the cake as She Corporates continued to push forward with a for more goals and it paid off as Nabumba in the 52nd minute of the game.
Lethal forward Danielita Favor Nambatya also saw her name registered on the score sheet with a goal in the 72nd minute before Joanita Ainembabazi sealed it with a goal in the 86th minute to end the game in a 6-0 win for She Corporates.
The sharks from Uganda sit joint top of the table in group A alongside Simba Queens who also defeated GRFC from Burundi.
