Halid Lwaliwa and Cesar Manzoki no see in Vipers traveling squad

Vipers captain Halid Lwaliwa and forward Cesar Manzoki were a no see in the Vipers contingent that traveled to Rwanda to take on Rayon Sport FC in a club friendly.

This is after speculation over their future with the current UPL champions intensifies.

Vipers revealed that Lwaliwa didn’t travel due to a problem with his travel documents. And for Manzoki, he’s nursing an injury reason he had to be left behind.

However, for Lwaliwa, rumor has it that two top South African PSL clubs are interested in his services.

This seems to be the reason there is seeming friction between him and the club.

Manzoki on the hand has been courting speculation about his intended move to Tanzania’s Simba SC. The winner of last season’s UPL golden boot didn’t play for the club against Young Africans in a club friendly despite traveling with the squad.

The two players have been in the news and are believed to be pushing for moves away from St Mary’s stadium for greener pastures.

Also Abdu Lumala and Paul Mucureezi didn’t travel with the squad to Rwanda as they are still recovering from injuries.

These friendlies are meant to get Vipers in shape as they are set to clash with CAR’s Olympic Real de Bangui in the first knockout game of the CAF Champions League.
