Derrick Ngobi: I want to win trophies at Express FC

Uganda Premier league side Express FC has announced the signing of defender Derrick Ngobi from Solitilo Bright Stars.

Ngobi joins the Wankulukuku based side on a two years after leaving Bright Stars where he has spent four years.

The defender has vowed to help the ‘mukwano gwa bangi’ club back to winning trophies as he targets winning trophies with the six time UPL champions.

“I come with experience to the young Express FC squad, I am delighted to be here the environment is good and I am looking forward to winning trophies with the team, be part of it’s history and I promise the fans a great game.” Said Derrick Ngobi.

Ngobi comes into the squad to fill the void left up by departed Murshid Juuko and Enock Walusimbi and coach James Odoch hopes he will be a huge boost to his squad which has a lot of younger players.

“We are delighted to have added a player with the experience like Ngobi to the squad, we lost a number of defensive players thus need of more firepower at backline and he has those characters that will help us bridge that gap.” Said coach James Odoch.

Derrick Ngobi becomes the ninth signing at Express this window after Benjamin Gakumba, David Lukwago, Hassan Mubiru, Marvin Oshaba, Kada Bitakazibwa, Andrew Kaggwa, Anwar Mustafa Ntege and Yusuf Ssozi.
